“Nice and comfortable”
We were really satisfied - the place is very clean, nice staff, good location... We were just sleeping here for few days but really with no problems. We loved the breakfast and the comfortable furniture. The rooms aren't so big but we were on the top with nice view.
“Very nice place to stay in Brighton”
I was very happy staying in Gulliver’s in Brighton. Very friendly staff, comfortable rooms, great breakfast, and overall good value for the location. 24 hour access is a great plus, and it was encouraged to be used by the staff, who were also more than happy to recommend places to go and see.
As it was Marathon weekend, finding accommodation wasn't easy. Gulliver's came up in my price range and as it turns out was ideal. The small single room was well heated and very clean with T&C making facilities. I seemed to be the only one using the separate bathrooms and toilets. As I was volunteering at the Marathon a 5:45 breakfast was available at their partner hotel just along the road and I could have anything from the usual breakfast menu. Breakfast the following day was cooked and served in Gulliver's basement breakfast room - fantastic vegetarian breakfast with one of the best poached eggs I've ever had and more of their wonderful bread.
“Excellent all around, I cannot fault this b and b”
I was so please with the stay at Gulliver’s I had to write a review which I don't normally take the time to do.
The room: It was clean, comfortable, great art deco, very trendy, tea and coffee which shortbread biscuits, TV, desk, warm and the bed very comfortable for a single bed I wouldn't have known it as I am used to double beds.
The service: Fantastic, everyone was so helpful, friendly, accommodating, couldn't do enough to help me.
The food: The breakfast choice was extensive, you get a menu where you can choose continental or cooked, the cooked includes meat, veg or vegan and also pancakes with lemon and sugar, chocolate, etc. All the produce they use is local and was overall excellent. You also get cereal, juices, yogurt, fruit, etc. from the buffet. I also decided in the evening to have a glass of wine at New Steine, again very relaxing, great ambience, friendly service. I ate a starter before going out for dinner, and chose the crab pate it came with plenty of flavor and bread (4 slices and good quality toast).
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this b and b.
Enjoy Brighton, enjoy life!
